Matt moved to the Territory in 2000 to take up a position with local Alice Springs radio station 8HA. He has been involved in radio since 1992, and the industry has taken him to many parts of Australia including, Innisfail, Townsville, Ballarat, Orange, Brisbane, Melbourne and of course The Alice.
 
In 2004 He began "Territory Today" on Radio 8HA. This program provided a forum and a platform for local residents to contribute to the social and political debate in Alice Springs through interviews and talk back.
 
In 2002 He met his future wife Elara, at the time she was working as a Ranger with the Alice Springs Town Council. they were engaged in January 2007 and will be married in September this year in Alice Springs.
 
Matt was born in 1968 in Gympie Queensland, and was raised in Brisbane. He attended Church of England Grammar School, and then boarded for two years at Downlands College Toowoomba.
 
Matt is a keen follower of sport and is a member of the Rovers Cricket Club in Alice Springs and the Brisbane Lions Football club.

In 2006 Matt won the Australian Commercial Radio Award for Best Talk Presenter.
 
The Territory is now home to Matt and Elara.
